Dooce - I don't read her or Pioneer Woman. And this is why I will never make $50,000 of my blog ... I will not use my kids or my family for fame. This is my life and I only want you (well most of you) in a part of it.

I read Dooce for a while, back when she was going through PPD, and at some point I realized, this woman isn't intellectual, she doesn't read, doesn't watch movies, she just cannibalizes her family for stories. Yeah, she's funny, but that wasn't enough for me. I prefer my book blogs, and blogs with brains. Anne Lamott's non-fiction books became that way too; I felt really bad for her son Sam. I'm sure I fail at fairly presenting my family. but I do try, and want to do so.
